We started Denver Local Tours as a way to share our love for the Mile High City with visitors and locals alike. It’s truly the people that make Denver such a unique and beautiful city not only to live, but to visit. The year of 2020 has changed us (like most people around the globe) and we’ve realized there is so much more we can do to help our own community thrive.
In addition, many of our guests have expressed they too have changed! That they are no longer content with mass tourism and are seeking meaningful experiences. Our guests have shared their desire to have a greater impact on our community by eating locally, shopping locally, and knowing that the money they spend in Denver is staying in Denver and not going to a large corporation halfway around the world.
Tours with a Purpose donates $1 per person of every tour ticket sold to a local non-profit organization that is impacting Denver’s community on a daily basis. Each month we partner with a different organization, volunteer at the organization and donate $1 per guest that attended a tour during that month. For us, it’s all about community, connection and the impact we can have on each other’s lives.

Tours with a Purpose kicks off May 1, 2023 and we’re thrilled to announce our first partnership with The S.A.M.E (So All May Eat) Cafe.

The SAME Cafe is phenomenal organization that serves over 20,000 meals per year to the Denver community. We encourage you to learn more about the extraordinary work they are doing on their website and sign up to volunteer if you have have time. In exchange for your time volunteered you can opt receive food tokens which are good for 1 meal. You can then distribute your earned tokens to family, friends or anyone in need of free delicious organic meal.

SAME Café is a donation-based, fair exchange restaurant that serves healthy food to everyone, regardless of ability to pay. Our mission is to create community through healthy food access. We believe in healthy food, community, and dignity for everyone.
SAME Café is the first nonprofit restaurant in Denver! Everyone who comes through the door is treated exactly the same. Guests order from the healthy menu of mostly local, organic food and then let us know how they would like to participate in the community in exchange for the meal: volunteering time, giving produce, or donating money.
SAME Café has no set prices and no set menus. Daily selections are made using fresh, organic ingredients and are funded by donations of time, produce, and money from guests and supporters. Our philosophy is that everyone, regardless of economic status, deserves the chance to eat healthy food while being treated with dignity.
